چکیده

Abstract A luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) is a solar-light harvesting device that concentrates light on photovoltaic cell placed at the edge of an LSC panel to convert it into electricity. The nano-sized inorganic–organic cluster complex (dMDAEMA) 4 [Re 6 S 8 (NCS) ] (this refers RMC where dMDAEMA 2-dimethyl amino ethyl methacrylate) promising candidate for luminophores due its downshifted broad photoluminescence suitable cells. However, low quantum yield (QY) limits performance. Here, zinc-doped CuGaS/ZnS core/shell dots (ZQD) were used as energy transferring donor with high QY improve performance LSC. two metal chalcogenide luminophores, and ZQD, are chemically dispersion in amphiphilic polymer matrix, producing transparent waveguide suppressed reabsorption extended coverage spectrum. We achieved η opt 3.47% PCE 1.23% while maintaining greater than 80% transparency visible range. this dual-dye reabsorption, scattering losses not only uniform dyes but also transfer from ZQD RMC. This report suggests new possibility various multi-dye LSCs use building-integrated windows.

Design of a polymer optical fiber luminescent solar concentrator

We present the design and optimization of a polymeric optical fiber luminescent solar concentrator (FLSC) and systematically investigate the impact of the geometrical and physical parameters of the fiber and active luminescent dopants on the FLSC performance. A multiplicity of individual FLSCs may be arranged on a surface to form a low-weight and mechanically flexible solar concentrating fabric...

Large Stokes Shift and High Efficiency Luminescent Solar Concentrator Incorporated with CuInS2/ZnS Quantum Dots

Luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) incorporated with quantum dots (QDs) have been widely regarded as one of the most important development trends of cost-effective solar energy. In this study, for the first time we report a new QDs-LSC integrated with heavy metal free CuInS2/ZnS core/shell QDs with large Stokes shift and high optical efficiency. The as-prepared CuInS2/ZnS QDs possess advantag...

Bioconjugation of quantum dot luminescent probes for Western blot analysis.

Western blot analysis is a widely used technique for protein immunodetection. Its current format, however is unsuitable for multiplex detection of proteins, primarily due to intrinsic limitations of standard organic dyes employed as probes. Quantum dot (QD) semiconductor nanoparticles exhibit significant advantages over organic dyes, including their broad absorption bands, narrow, tunable, and ...

Project title : Novel luminescent materials for a concentrator approach to enhanced efficiency solar energy conversion

We used the limited funds of this grant to conduct cutting edge research on perovskite materials and their use in solar cells. We have made breakthroughs and are having strong impact in the field. We have submitted two major proposals to DOE-EERE SunShot program for funding in cooperation with an industrial partner OmniPV Inc and Dyesol Inc but both times we were turned down. Our efforts howeve...
